With the Paris 2024 Olympic Games events now well underway, French athletes can count on their supporters to cheer them on at home. This is an opportunity for French fans to don equipment from the official French Olympic and Paralympic Team collection, designed by Le Coq Sportif.
Despite the rain, the Opening Ceremony made its mark this Friday, July 26, with a colorful show. The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games have thus officially begun, and we're hoping for a nice crop of medals for the French camp.
60 Olympic and Paralympic disciplines will be equipped by Le Coq Sportif, obviously dressed in blue, white and red for the various competitions. The brand is equipping the French Olympic and Paralympic athletes with a complete wardrobe, including representative outfits worn on the podiums, in the athletes' village, during closing ceremonies, official visits, media representation at celebration sites, as well as training and competition outfits.
The public can also purchase pieces from this official collection. Created by Artistic Director Stéphane Ashpool, this collection, specially designed for the world's biggest sporting event, is intended as "a symbol of the mix, the blend, of sports, of athletes of course, but also of the bodies, cultures, men and women, and children who make up France".
The fusion of blue, white and red creates a new flag, giving life to a new palette of vibrant, modern colors. A particularly successful gradience found on many of the collection's items, such as jerseys, fleece pants and hoodies. Finally, on the manufacturing side, the collection was developed in Romilly-sur-Seine in the Aube region of France, Le Coq Sportif's historic home from the outset.
