WINGFOIL: TITOUAN GALEA'S GEAR

The wingfoil, a new water sports discipline that should become even more popular this summer on the beaches, is a kind of cross between surfing and windsurfing. Its particularity lies in an entirely inflatable sail, very light, carried at arm's length.

The foil, located underneath the board, allows the rider to rise to about 80 centimeters from the water and gain speed.

This discipline emerged about two years ago, and already has many followers, such as Titouan Galea, a professional wingfoiler from New Caledonia, who won the stage of the first wingfoil world cup organised during the Mondial du Vent in Leucate at the beginning of May.

We took advantage of this event to ask the F-One rider to show us the material he uses.
