The aim of this collaboration? Encourage more people to reconnect with nature and establish a lasting relationship with it. Indeed, by 2050, it is estimated that metropolises and cities will encompass two-thirds of the world's population. It was time for the two iconic brands to refocus on our mental and physical health, as well as the health of our planet.
Henrik Andersson, artistic director of Fjällräven, and Erik Nohlin, head of design and equipment at Specialized, confirm what's at stake: "We realized that we had the same approach to nature and health, and that by working together, our brands could inspire more people to discover nature."
And what better way to do this than on a touring bike, more commonly known as the bikepacking ? This new way of traveling by bike, of going further and freeing oneself from limits, continues to attract new adepts. Taking only the bare minimum - a bike and a few panniers - is the definition of bikepacking, which advocates ultra-light, adventurous travel.
Exploring itineraries off the beaten track, setting up camp for the night in total autonomy - it's bound to sound appealing, isn't it?
