Odlo and the NGO Protect Our Winters unveil their first collection

Swiss technical underwear brand Odlo and the NGO Protect Our Winters (POW) have teamed up to create their first range of technical underwear. Objective: to continue raising awareness of the climate crisis.

The date was not chosen by chance. It was on World Sustainable Development Day thatOdlo unveiled with its partner Protect Our Winters a new range of technical products to raise awareness of the climate crisis. Also known as "POW", the NGO "Protect Our Winters" raises awareness of the climate crisis. For its part, Swiss brand Odlo is renowned for its hard-wearing, durable clothing designed for active, passionate people. With a view to achieving its eco-responsible objectives, Odlo has put in place a plan to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 2024. This collaboration with the NGO is yet another sign of Odlo's commitment in this area.

After supporting the POW campaign "Vote like you..."But Odlo decided to go one step further, asking the NGO to collaborate on the design of technical underwear. The logos of both brands can be seen on the collection, which is called "ODLO x POW Blackcomb". The chosen motif evokes a melting glacier, while the slogan "Protect our winters" can be found inside the garments, over 70% of which are made from % recycled polyester.

The collection, designed for a wide range of activities (skiing, running, winter hiking...), comprises three types of long-sleeved tops (round neck, 1/4 zip or stand-up collar with integrated hood) and two types of tights (3/4 or long), available in three striking colors. These models guarantee excellent freedom of movement, dry quickly and maintain warmth in cool weather. Finally, Odlo also announces the use of ZeroScent biobased antibacterial treatment (which limits the appearance of unpleasant odors) on the entire range.

Proof of their effectiveness in the most demanding conditions, these technical garments were used by mountaineers Simon Wuilmart and Guillaume Maret during their monumental crossing of the Alps. This 22-week epic was dubbed the "ALP Project"The tour took them from Salzburg in Austria to Menton on the Côte d'Azur. In the end, 1,000 kilometers on skis and cross-country skis, 34 glaciers and 80,000 meters of elevation gain, during which their Odlo equipment did not fail them: "The Blackcomb technical underwear dries quickly, fits well and was carefully designed in collaboration with POW. They're among the best we've used," they explained after their achievement. Odlo and POW are set to continue their collaboration on other products, as the Swiss brand recently presented its circular program. ODLO ReWEAR. Find all Odlo products on Private Sport Shop.
