At 33 years old, Martin Kern has a fine record in the Ultra Trail: Winner of the Swiss Canyon Trail (2019), and the 6000D (2019) and 12th of the UTMB (2019). This engineer by training and true sports enthusiast lives his passion between Vallouise and Grenoble as a quest for freedom and a search for fulfillment essential in today's society.
For him, trail running is above all about sharing, meeting people, discovering new landscapes, but also about surpassing oneself.
Today, Martin Kern fully identifies with the new campaign Outer Peace of its sponsor Arc'Teryx. Outer peace is a long-term commitment to facilitate access to nature so that traditionally marginalized people can find peace and well-being. In 2021, one million dollars will be donated by the brand to partners committed to preserving nature and making it accessible to all.
It was with a smile that Martin Kern took us to the Néron ridge overlooking the city of Grenoble, to show us a training ground that he particularly likes, and above all a breathtaking panorama.
