The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc, the event of the year!

The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB) 2024 is one of the world's most emblematic ultra-trail events, and once again it brought together the world's best athletes to tackle the 176 km of technical trails of the flagship race of the same name, around the Mont-Blanc massif. With almost 10,000 metres of positive vertical drop, the runners crossed France, Switzerland and Italy.

The highlight of this year's race was the surprise victory of Vincent Bouillard, an unknown Frenchman on the international scene, who finished in 19:54, becoming the fifth man in history to complete the UTMB in under 20 hours. On the women's side, American Katie Schide dominated the race in 22h09, breaking the course record and completing an impressive double after her victory in the Western States 100.
