Cycling films at the Paris Adventure Film Festival

Bicycles will be in the spotlight at the next Paris Adventure Film Festival, scheduled for January 24-26, 2025.

Three films, a conference (with adventurer Cédric Tassan) and two talks on the subject of cycling will be part of the packed program of the Paris Adventure Film Festival, taking place from January 24 to 26 at Le Centquatre, in the 19th arrondissement of Paris. This year, the discipline will be explored in all its forms and at all latitudes. Whether it's an adventure in cold Estonia, mountain biking on the little-known trails of Tajikistan with Cédric Tassan, or a fabulous journey from the Alpilles to the Himalayas. Discover below the synopses and teasers of the productions on the program for this festival, tickets for which can be purchased at this address and see the full program here.

In the land of mists

In the Land of Mists (Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania), at the winter solstice, the sacred fire that celebrates the return of the sun rekindles age-old beliefs forgotten in the rest of Europe. Sophie Planque and Jérémy Vaugeois set off by bike to experience the Baltic winter and meet the people who keep these ancestral cultures alive. A singular heritage that nurtures a profound relationship with nature.

Vrang, a preview

The Pamir, a remote region of Tajikistan in Central Asia, contains some of the most isolated mountains in the world. Despite the extreme climatic conditions, altitude and non-existent economy, man has lived here for millennia. For some time now, however, the region has been emptying of young adults seeking work abroad. The Pamiri traditions and art of living are under threat. Cycling adventurer Cédric Tassan has decided to shed some light on this spectacular region of the world. Aware that responsible tourism is one of the keys to local development that can curb this mass exodus, he also supports the creation of yurt camps that will bring jobs and an economy to these lost valleys.

Essence fragrance

On a whim and with no training whatsoever, Jessica and Anaïs embark on an unusual cycling journey from the Alpilles to the Himalayas... until they meet the Dalai Lama! With laughter as their only guideline, the two friends follow a path made up of fears, joys and questions about the limits of peace and freedom, as they come across new encounters and political contexts.
