The 24th edition of the Mondial du vent took place last weekend on the beaches of Leucate in the Aude. The riders were able to offer a show worthy of this competition, unfortunately deprived of spectators, health crisis obliges.
For this new edition of the World Cup, there are many novelties such as the first stage of the very first wingfoil world cup. This new discipline, which is only a few years old, allows riders greater freedom of movement and even more impressive figures. The wingfoilers competed in freestyle and race, and it was the Caledonian Titouan Galea who won this first edition.
Also on the programme, the Leucate Kitefoil, with the mixed relay, future event of the 2024 Olympic Games, won by the French duo, Axel Mazella and Poema Newland.
