It is on the Mondial du Vent 2021 in Leucate that we met Poéma Newland, vice-champion of the Youth Olympic Games and great hope of the French kitesurfing team. She presents us her kitefoil equipment.
At 21, Poema Newland finished second in the individual race of the Leucate Kitefoil and won the mixed relay with Axel Mazella. These results offer great prospects for the years to come with the Olympic Games in France in 2024 in mind. We took advantage of this meeting to ask her a few questions about the kitefoil equipment she uses and to introduce this young discipline.
