At 21 years old, Poéma Newland, Youth Olympic vice-champion, is one of the great hopes of the French kitefsurfing team. She proved it again this year during the Mondial du Vent in Leucate by winning the mixed relay with Axel Mazella and finishing second in the individual race.
The mixed relay will be the kitefoil event at the Olympic Games in France in 2024. And the young woman from Narbonne has made it one of her main objectives for the years to come. We met her during the Mondial du Vent in Leucate, on the beaches where she trained for several years.
