Isabeau Courdurier first ever Enduro World Champion!

The Private Sport Shop ambassador won the discipline's first world championships, taking the famous rainbow jersey with her!

Only a week ago, Isabeau Courdurier completed her final season in the enduro World Cup on the second place overallThe Frenchwoman had to be satisfied with her remarkable record of three world crowns over the last ten years. A slightly frustrated end, even if the Frenchwoman could be satisfied with a remarkable record for her over the last ten years, with three world crowns. However, there was still a nice dessert to savour this 2024 season: the discipline's first world championships, at the end of which the first rainbow jerseys in history would be awarded to the winners (as they are in cross-country, downhill mountain biking and road cycling).

The event took place in Val di Fassa, Italy, on Sunday, September 15. The problem was that snow disrupted the program, falling on the trails of the Canazei Val di Fassa bike park. This did not prevent the race from going ahead, but the event had to be adapted, with special stage starts lower than planned. All in all, the program was still a tough one, with 33 kms of racing, 1950 m of D- and 900 m of D+ without lifts.

For her part, Isabeau Courdurier didn't miss the chance to make even more history in her discipline. The Private Sport Shop ambassador, who won the first two stages of the day, had to contend this time with her compatriot Mélanie Pugin, who held her off throughout Sunday. In the end, Isabeau Courdurier won by 11 seconds over her runner-up in the standings, after 26 minutes of timed special stages. Morgan Charre took third place for a historic French hat-trick, reminiscent of a certain BMX Race event at the Olympics... This season's overall World Cup winner, England's Harriet Harnden, finished fourth.

Isabeau Courdurier added the icing on the cake to an immense career, and donned the first rainbow jersey in the history of the discipline. It was a huge success for the French clan this weekend, with Alex Rudeau taking the men's title and Estelle Charles and Kevin Miquel the E-Enduro titles. Four out of four for Les Bleus (and eight medals in all), confirming France's position as the world's leading mountain bike nation.
