The Frenchwoman Isabeau Courdurier won this weekend the world title in mountain bike enduro. A second star for the Private Sport Shop ambassador.
Imperial Isabeau Courdurier! This season, the Frenchwoman won half of the events on the Enduro World Series program, winning stages in Petzen-Jamnica, Val Di Fassa, Sugarloaf and Crans-Montana. However, his main rival and compatriot Morgane Charre pushed him all the way to the final event of the year to officially claim his second world title, following on from 2019. Nevertheless, when Isabeau Courdurier arrived in France this weekend in the mountains of the Hautes-Pyrénées, she knew that only a catastrophic scenario could deprive her of the title she was chasing this season. Her lead over her nearest pursuer was considerable.
This weekend, it was in Loudenvielle that the Enduro World Series riders had an appointment for the last stage of the year. In France, the French riders lived up to expectations with the victory of Morgane Charre who put everyone in agreement on the last special stage of the program. Second, Isabeau Courdurier can still be satisfied with this result, enough to allow her to be officially crowned World Champion 2022!

The Frenchwoman from the Lapierre Zipp Collective team confirms her return to form after a season marked by an impressive crash at the Valberg VTTAE event (she punctured her foot with a branch). This mishap didn't prevent her from coming back in the fight for overall victory, and finally confirming that this season she was indeed the best rider in the world.

In the men's category, Frenchman Alex Rudeau won in Loudenvielle, while Canadian Jesse Melamed took the title for the first time in his career. All the riders now have a date next week in Italy at Finale Ligure for the Trophée des Nations. And Isabeau will be one of the leaders of Team France, one of the favorite nations to win the team title.
