Who is Maude Baudier, the founder?
My name is Maude BaudierI'm an entrepreneur with a passion for sport. I founded Les Bornéesa community dedicated to promoting women in cycling and triathlon. I also launched Smatchya mobile application that facilitates contact between athletes of all levels.
Les bornées, what's that?
Les Bornéesis much more than a club or a brand, it's an entire community which brings together cycling and triathlon enthusiasts of all levels. The idea is to create a inclusive space where everyone can progress, exchange and share sporting experiences, in France and abroad.
How did you come up with the idea?
The idea came to me in 2018, when I signed up for l'Étape du Tour. I realized that there were very few women present, and that many were discouraged before even getting started. This observation made me want to create a space where women would feel legitimate, supported and encouraged to take their place on the road, in the same way as men.
What do you offer your members?
Above all, Les Bornées is all about sharing sports outings (cycling, triathlon, running), but also exclusive events with partners and brands. We organize trainings, the internships and challenges throughout the year to enable members to meet up, progress and enjoy unforgettable experiences together.
What are your next goals?
My main objective is to continue growing the communityI also want to strengthen our presence in Europe and the United States, and connect even more sportsmen and sportswomen with the help of our new website. The women are just as capable as men. They deserve to be visible and fully integrated into the world of sport. Through Les Bornées, I want to prove that together we can change mentalities and inspire a new generation of cyclists and triathletes. 💪
