SAILING AROUND THE WORLD VIA EVEREST: WE ROCK SPORT PODCAST WITH MAXIME SOREL

Offshore or up, the horizon has attracted adventurers past and present, giving free rein to their wildest imaginations. From sea level to the highest peaks, sailors and mountaineers share this quest to reach beyond the horizon, to touch that distant line that flirts with the sky. Adventure, challenge and sport all in one, ocean racing, like mountaineering, demands unflagging commitment and determination to move from one end of the earth to the other at the mercy of the elements.

Maxime Sorel is one of the few sailors to have circumnavigated the globe and reached the summit of Mount Everest! For him, the horizon never stops! After completing his first solo, unassisted circumnavigation of the globe during the Vendée Globes 2020, the Breton has set himself a new challenge: climbing Everest. A sporting and solidarity challenge, alongside the association Vaincre la mucoviscidose, before setting sail again for a new Vendée Globe next November. Here's a look back at these epic journeys between the seas and the mountains.
